Get a cookin' for the cure in August...

This August gather friends, family or work colleagues together and join the Cure4CF Foundation as we Cook for the Cystic Fibrosis Cure!

We invite you to become a ‘Cook for a Cure Host’. Becoming a Host is a fun and tasty way to support the Foundation and the work of the leading Adelaide-based gene therapy research team. As a Host, all you need to do is hold an event (and this can be as simple as a cupcake party or as elaborate as a renaissance themed dinner party…) and ask your guests to consider making a donation to Cure4CF in lieu of what they would normally have spent on a night out (or on the host's gift).

More information, including a Host Pack (which features recipes from Cook for a Cure Ambassadors such as Maggie Beer and Janelle Bloom) is available on the Cure4CF website. You can find out about how others are cooking for the cystic fibrosis cure, or share your Cook for a Cure story, by joining our Facebook page.

Calling all City-Bay fun-runners: support Cure4CF while getting fit and fabulous!

The Sunday Mail City-Bay Fun Run (Sunday September 18 in Adelaide) is a great event, and whether you are entering as an individual, with friends or as a team you can make it even better by raising funds to support the efforts to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

Supporting Cure4CF is easy: simply go to the Everyday Hero website and set up an account, nominating Cure4CF as your charity. You can now use your Everyday Hero webpage to keep friends and family up to date with your training (or for those of us focussing on fun, rather than run, the all important pre-race strategy sessions*) and enlist their support for Cure4CF as you run, walk or wheel your way to the Bay.

*where you can work through the important issues, such as who is bringing the museli bars, and the location of your post-race coffee.

AHA|SA supports Cure4CF

The Cure4CF Foundation was recently successful in winning a grant from the Australian Hotels Association (SA) for $18,800. These funds will be utilised to purchase a much needed centrifuge which will be used by the scientific research team in the new Allan Scott CF Research Laboratory which will open early in 2012.

Our sincere thanks to the team and members of the AHA|SA for their generous support of the Cure4CF Foundation!
